A dear friend and I re-connected on the phone last night after a couple of busy months.
This morning, a comment she made echoes inside me…the one about having doubt.
I’ll change her name, responding with an open letter here.
Dear Rebecca,
It was wonderful talking with you last night.
One thing you said rattles inside my mind and heart this morning.
You mentioned your doubt, and that of your friends.
It’s ego, my friend.
Doubt just may be one of the ego’s last rounds of ammunition before you and your cohorts break through into the freedom, peace, and glory of living into your whole, authentic, souls.
Doubt speaks up when we’re getting close to honoring the gifts we’ve been given, the ones you love offering others, the ones that come to you naturally.
Doubt doesn’t want you going around loving your life, serving others in soulful ways with ease.
Doubt wants you to use your time in distracting ways.
Hell yes….doubt wants nothing more than for you to lose your desire to honor your soul.
So if you’re too busy watching a television series, or you’re too busy hanging onto a job that puts food on your table, doubt is extremely happy.
Faith, however, speaks differently.
Faith encourages you to live into all the gifts and talents you’ve been given.
Faith tells you to TRUST.
Faith calls you to live into the new, before Doubt falls away.
Wishing you all the Faith you can hold, my friend.
May we all walk with faith into all the blessings waiting for us!

Dear Joy,
Wise and helpful words you wrote, applicable to all of us—As I go about my daily business, I encounter many whom are experiencing doubts, anxieties, stressful feelings…..I think it may be exactly as you describe–the last ravages of fear as we move closer and closer to our divine gifts unfolding! The message you share is being shared by many who are connected and connecting with Higher self-soul-authentic being….Even as I look up at the computer screen, my mouse is hovering over and highlighting the words “honoring your soul”…this we must do now in the face of possible criticism and others’doubts. It is good to practice NOT doubting our Self, our Soul. This is where courage, and Faith in the All (as you so beautifully call it) will see us through the changes.
So Much Love and Blessings to All,
Barbara
